Last Day of School!
Finally, the semester is really done!
So I'm just trying to keep myself occupied, burning CD's and goofing off. No, I did actually do some real work today. Sort of.
Work three hours on the book last night. These last couple of chapters are about to get pretty emotionally charged-that's probably one reason I've stalled on writing them because I don't know if I'm ready to handle it. Weird to say since I'm the one who made it that way, but with what's going on at home lately, I almost don't want to add to my own mental stress. I needed the tense build-up though-make readers believe they just might not get that happy ending...
I'm not very happy with my writing lately because I want to get finished. It almost reads more like a screenplay-lots of dialogue and quick action. I've never been a big fan of too much description anyway.
I'm looking forward to having it done. My goal was to finish it by the end of the year, but I think it will be closer to the end of my vacation, which only ends January 3, but I'll have some time before the spring semester kicks back in. I'm hoping some time at my mom's will allow me some good working time. I also may be at the library a lot. Did I already mention that?
