Ah! I'm finally back!

Geez, it's almost been a month! I' ve been busy writing!
We're in the home stretch for "Summer of Glam." Y'know, even after twenty years, this stupid thing still doesn't have a decent title. I may have to hit my "victims" up for ideas. Did I mention Roslyn read the Prologue. She thought it was pretty good-she said it lacked details, but that wasn't a bad thing. I like to keep the action moving and not get bogged down with a lot of description. In some ways my writing of late resembles a glorified screenplay. The dialogue moves the story.
I'm into the last chapters in a kind of harum scarum way. I'm trying to finish up San Francisco but I need Don's Star Trek expertise. I've almost got Las Vegas in order, but I need to fill in some things. I've also got pieces of Los Angeles, but I came up with a different angle. I was diving in for too happy of an ending; i.e.; I needed some extra tension between my lovers before the final "bang" at the end, which I absolutely will not write until all the action is caught up to that point.
I came across a publisher in Washington state that might be the one I'm looking for-they publish ONLY books about music and musicians, both fiction and non-fiction. Right now they're looking for submissions for a short story/article anthology, 5000 words or less. I think I can handle that.
I did finish my "short short" story to send to Writer's Digest, although Don gave me some pointers to make that one better also. He's actually a decent critic for my stuff because he reads so much. I'll put the finishing touches on that story, get some more local feedback, then send it off. We'll see what happens. That one's actually tough because I can't write less than 1500 words. Short stories were never my forte, being the long-winded, rock-n-roll Tolstoy that I am!
I'm gonna try to post some articles for free online at some of the websites I signed up on-wonder if anyone will ever read them. I don't think anybody reads the blog-but that's okay. This is just a place for me to journal about my writing. It would be so cool to be published, and maybe make a little money. Maybe. We'll see.
In the meantime-my "summer of glam" rolls on into winter-again! But I will be done by the end of the year! I'm bound and determined!
